I was fortunate to have started in McMullen County fresh out of college in 1998. I have been teaching at McMullen County 20 blessed years. I have taught third grade 9 years and kindergarten 5 years. I have been teaching second grade for 6 years now. I have learned quite a few things along the way. I am really looking forward to teaching second grade again this year.
I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 18 years now. We have been blessed with 3 children, Cayden, Tate, and Tucker, who also attend McMullen County ISD. We live on a ranch on the outskirts of Tilden. We have the pleasure of owning horses, cattle, steers, and dogs. When I am not at school I am kept busy at home: feeding cows, riding horses, washing show steers, or cleaning. It’s a busy but fun life...
Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love of learning and I would hope that my students would also come to love learning as much as I do. In order to foster this love, I try to make my classroom a safe, fun, and disciplined place for my students. I hope they will enjoy coming to my classroom and learning something new everyday. I feel that all chilren are special and need different things for each one to flourish. I strive to love each child who walks through the door and give them not only an education but a passion to learn.
