Health Information & Immunizations
Texas law requires students attending public school to meet age-appropriate immunization requirements established by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Please review the current Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements for students below. Requirements vary based on the student’s age and grade level. Parents and guardians may also visit the Texas Department of State Health Services for additional information regarding school immunization requirements. Recommended Immunizations
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) recommends that children and adolescents remain up to date with age-appropriate immunizations. Recommended vaccines for school-age children may include:
- Influenza (Flu) – recommended annually
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)
- HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
- Meningococcal (Meningitis)
Additional vaccines may be recommended depending on a student’s age, vaccination history, health conditions, or other risk factors.
